When you’re in a hurry (and who isn’t?), consider this super quick and easy makeup tip from a makeup artist who recently appeared on Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style.

Instead of bothering with eyes, blush, lipstick and the whole nine yards, amp up your face with bronzer. After applying your foundation (and covering blemishes and redness), take a large brush and simply swoosh around a bronzer a shade darker than your own skintone. It used to be impossible to find anything but very, very tan bronzer, but now there’s shimmery peaches, and light golden colors out the ying-yang, so hit up Sephora and peruse the endless options of bronzers that are on the market.

One of my faves is Sephora’s own Luminous Trio, which is a knockoff (and far friendlier-on-the-wallet version) of Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Brick which retails at about double the price. Both have a few colors, making it great for blending in to any skin tone and ideal for layering when you’re on vacation, or using in a sparing manner when you’re at the office.
